RECOGNIZING THE SIGNS OF A CAVITY
As seen in the video, if a patient is noticing symptoms of a cavity, then the cavity has potentially advanced into a more serious condition, such as a root canal infection. If a patient experiences any of the following signs, then he should see his dentist near Belmont soon.
When a cavity has advanced, a patient may notice increased sensitivity to certain temperatures or sweets. He may also feel an intermittent throbbing pain, especially after eating or drinking an item that may cause sensitivity. If a cavity has advanced far enough, a patient may even see a hole in his tooth. If this is found, then the patient should visit a dental office soon before the cavity becomes a potential root canal infection.
